On a more evangelical day of the full moon, the gates will be open for you even from 8:30 pm till 12:30 am.

Akbar’s Fort - Sikandra

Tomb of Akbar The Great Area, Sikandra, Agra, Uttar Pradesh 282007

In 1605, around 10 km from Agra and Sikander, Akbar constructed this fort to unite Hindus and Muslims by combining the two styles in its architecture to express a unified harmony between the two forces. When you visit you will notice the use of red sandstone and white marble fused as a piece of peace ennobling harmony. To this, he added a lot of ornamental carvings and constructed this fine building.

Railway Agra Fort, Agra Cantt

Agra Fort and Agra Cantonment are the popular railway stations from where you can book your railway ticket either on the spot at the counter or online. The prices of railway transport are cheap and the speed is sufficiently fast so it's a good option if you're traveling either between states or to nearby places. The Taj Express and Shatabdi running from here have the best accommodation and travel the fastest. It also has good connectivity to other metropolitan cities.
