November to February are the apt months to relish the winters of Lavasa. You can indulge in a jubilant train tour across the city in trackless trains, a bicycle, segway or plan out a pontoon boat ride to cruise around the city.
If you want to get to Lavasa by flight then you can choose either Mumbai airport or Pune airport. At a vicinity of 65 km, The New Pune International Airport is preferable to Mumbai Airport which is at a distance of 193 km. Both airports are well-connected and serve domestic and international flights like Go Air, Vistara etc. Once you reach the airport, the easiest way to go to the main city is by booking a cab from the airport.
Although there isn't any train connectivity to Lavasa, you can avail of trains from Pune Junction which is at a distance of 61.6 km from the city and is the nearest railway station to reach Lavasa. From the railway station, you can hire a rental car or book your cab.
The public transport or bus facility is not a great option as there aren't frequent bus services but you can hop on to the point-to-point shuttle or a cab in the absence of your means of conveyance. The best choice is to take your own car or hire a cab.
Lavasa is well-known for its location on the Warasgaon Lake’s shore which makes it a favourable destination for water sports and activities.
Driving through the hills is a great experience and you can surely enjoy two-wheeler ride to Lavasa too by riding 30kms up the hill through the Western Ghats but safety comes first hence; a helmet is compulsory.
The distance between Lavasa and Lonavala by road is 114kms and 40kms by flight.

Although Lavasa is a new go-to destination for many tourists, many construction works are left incomplete and there have been protests ongoing by villagers for years as they claim to be duped for their lands that had been undertaken for the Lavasa project.
